Cabaret 2011 - The Heart of Art
Wednesday Dec. 7th at 7:30 pm

Set at the prestigious Cane Art Gallery, the plot explores the behind-the-scenes antics of the art world as they prepare for the annual Christmas Talent Gala. The cast includes several eccentric artists, former models, art lovers, gallery owners and security staff. The highlight of the gala features the unveiling of a new masterpiece painted by the infamous reclusive “Mars”. Like Murphy’s Law, anything that can go wrong goes wrong at the gala, and soon the cast of colourful characters find themselves embroiled in a plot of mayhem that becomes the set for the perfect crime. As in past cabarets, the focus of the show will be on the array of talented students at “The Heart”. The various acts will include vocalists singing a range of contemporary and classical tunes. The audience will be wowed by acro-jazz, contemporary and step dancing, not to mention the various instrumentalists on piano, guitar, and flute. As well, both the School Band and the Grade Nine Band will be playing a delightful mix of upbeat numbers sure to please crowds of all ages.

Heads Up Sacred Heart! SAC News
December News
Hey Sacred Heart,
How quickly November flew by! Our S.A.C. took a special trip this month to the Ontario Student Leadership Conference in Niagara Falls. Here they gathered with student council members from across Ontario to listen to great speakers, share experiences and learn to become more motivated and involved as a school community. Mrs. Wilkin and Miss Schuett were very proud of all SHHS representatives and can’t wait to take more students next year.
We also had this year’s first, and epic, semi-formal dance in the SHHS gym! The house was packed with, what some teacher chaperones believed to be, the best turn out in years. Amazing tunes were pumped out by our own master-mind mixers Ben Kittel and Ben Carroll with the brand new DJ and speaker systems. Special thanks to our teacher chaperones Ms. White, Mrs. Stanislow, Ms. Voisin, Fr. Jason, and Mrs. Hicks for their help.
Additionally, our school spirit clothing arrived! You can now see students sporting these hoodies, track pants and shirts around the halls. They are also perfect to curl up in during the upcoming snow days we are all wishing for (yes, even the teachers)! Great job Bizz and the rest of the Athletics committee for organizing and distributing these clothes!
Upcoming S.A.C. events for the month of December include:
December 19th-23rd: Christmas Spirit Week
December 21st- Mass
December 22nd- Christmas Assembly
Make sure to be here and take part in all of these events!
One more month SHHS and we have two weeks of freedom!
Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a very safe and happy holiday,
-Your SHHS S.A.C.

Math Help ... Available online
Hello everyone!
Just a reminder to all those high school math students - you don't need a specific question to get Math Help. They can enter the room and simply ask for help with "slope" or "completing the square" or any other topic. The tutor will make up a question for them and help them with the concept. It's a great way to review topics that they haven't seen since September.
www.homeworkhelp.ilc.org
Sun - Thurs, 5:30pm - 9:30pm
Remember, if a student has forgotten their username/password, all they need to do is re-register with their OEN. They'll reset their password and be given their old ID back again.
As always, if you have any questions or problems, don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks,
Denise Buttenaar
